Bookish Weekend

Good morning,

It’s been a relaxing bookish weekend for me so far. I received a beautiful copy of Hazel Wood in my Owlcrate, bought three books I really wanted with my gift card that my sweetie gave me for Valentine’s Day (Labyrinth, Celtic Myths & Myths from 8 Different Cultures), a friend borrowed me a copy of Literature of the Western World.

I was very lucky to receive an ARC of Bruja Born in the mail and I didn’t own a copy of Labyrinth Lost so what better excuse to get a copy than with a gift card? Plus Barnes and Noble sent me a 30 % off coupon in the mail which I couldn’t pass up using! My boyfriend patiently waited nearly two hours for me to decide on which books to get.

Last night I burned a small candle also from my OwlCrate box called Through The Wardrobe which smells amazing and was able to use my beautiful ceramic Owl candle cover. That’s probably not the official name of it but I think you know what I mean.

Now I’m relaxing with a pile of books I hope to dive in and out of throughout the day. I’m nearly finished with Daughter of Albion & hoping to get a good chunk of reading done with The Winter People which is the Book Club pick I’m a part of that meets this Tuesday. So  There’sfar I like The Winter People but it’s a bit creepy so I’ve avoided reading it at night because I scare easily. There’s going to be a sequel to Daughter of Albion out some time this year which I’m so excited about!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend and been able to read to your bookish heart’s content. I’m off to do some reading before tomorrow when it’s back to the daily grind.

Happy Reading!
