Top 10 Tuesday: May Favorites

Happy Tuesday,

It has been quite a busy month with work, being distracted by playing Animal Crossing on my Switch while listening to an audiobook and squeezing in as much reading time as possible. I had plans to finish a few other books before posting this but I will just include them into my June plans because even though I’m enjoying them, haven’t reached the end.

Speaking of books, I wanted to talk about the ones that made it to my top ten list of the month. I’m so proud of myself for finishing some of the books that I set out to and am excited to see what the next month has in store.

So without further ado, my list:

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I will be heading to the Library later today as per usual to drop off some books that I’ve read and just may pick up more (who am I kidding, of course I’ll be picking up more!) but am hoping to be more reasonable with myself. I am still attempting to keep my checked out list at a reasonable amount and so far so good.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: Library Edition

Happy Tuesday,

This month seems to have flown by and it’s hard to believe this is the last full week of May. I am in the middle of several books at the moment which I’m hoping to finish by the end of the month which means this weekend I will be trying to squeeze in as much reading as possible.

Speaking of books, I’ve managed to borrow quite a few Library books lately which is currently at thirty-three (which isn’t counting the digital ones I have out) and to say I had ambitious plans to read all my Library books this month is putting it mildly. So I’ve decided to take a good chunk back because I know that I can always recheck them out later and for some of them, I will just need to be patient being put on a waiting list. While I enjoy having lots of books to choose from, I don’t like holding on to books that someone may be waiting for because I know how hard it can be to wait.

So I thought I would narrow it down to at least half of the amount and this just happens to be the ones that I am hoping to get to soon and some of them are shorter novels which is also a plus. So without further ado, I present to you my tentative list:

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I will be heading to the Library later today as per usual to drop off my teetering pile of books and just may pick up more but am hoping to be more reasonable with myself. It will be interesting to see just how long I attempt to keep my currently checked out books at a reasonable amount!

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: Currently Reading

Happy Tuesday,

It’s the middle of the month and as per usual, I am in the middle of several books. There was a time when I wasn’t able to read more than a couple of books at a time though with practice, have been able to expand that list.

I had planned to take it easy on the amount of books I was reading this month along with participating in readathons but since I knew I could combine my TBR possibilities to fit some of the prompts, it sounded like a good idea at the time.

This is why I find myself attempting way more than I probably should at a time but it’s part of the fun and with a mixture of e-book, physical, and audiobook, it certainly shakes things up a bit. So enough rambling, let’s get to the good stuff which is of course the books!

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I have a book club book to finish before the meet up tonight at the Library and other books I am hoping to finish at some point today. I may also squeeze in some quality Nintendo Switch time since I now also have Animal Crossing which has been so much fun to play while listening to an audiobook.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: Kindle Edition

Happy Tuesday,

We are already into the second week of May and it’s finally feeling like Spring though Summer is just around the corner. Here in Minnesota, we tend to have a hint of Spring and then BAM! Summer arrives and it’s looking that way this year.

I’m excited to be able to sit outside with my books and get some quality sunshine with lots of sunblock (because I burn easily) and maybe even stick my feet in a creek to cool them off.

Speaking of reading, I’m excited to tackle some of the books that I’ve had sitting on my Kindle for quite some time and also get to some of the books that I’ve recently downloaded. If I physically owned all of the books that I downloaded, I’d probably need a Library the size of Beauty’s to contain them all.

I know I don’t talk a lot about what’s on my Kindle and I thought this week would be perfect as I find myself wanting to read more on it and I love the convenience of being able to read it anywhere without having the weight of carrying the amount of books I want to read. Though don’t get me wrong, I do still find myself hauling physical books and my current check outs from the Library is 20+…. oops….

So enough rambling, let’s get to the good stuff which is of course the books!

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am getting ready to make my weekly trip to the Library which I look forward to every time and there’s always new books to look at and debate whether I want to add to my never-ending pile of Library books or not. I will probably also play some Zelda: Breath of the Wild as we recently got a Nintendo Switch and it’s been so much fun to explore.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: May TBR Possibilities

Happy Tuesday,

It’s a new month which means I’m hoping to have another successful month of reading and the possibilities for what I can choose from are only limited by what I can manage to squeeze in and what potential books I may stumble across either through word of mouth or while visiting the Library.

I have made a list of books that I’m hoping to read throughout the month and as per usual, I am calling them my pile of possibilities because who knows how many I may get to and what kind of themes I’ll be in the mood to read. As it is Asian American and Pacific Islander month, I am planning to read more books with that theme and also by authors who identify as Asian American and/or Pacific Islander. I’m excited to see what new favorites I will come across!

So enough rambling, let’s get to the really good stuff which is of course talking about the books. I don’t have them in any particular order as I’m excited for them all.

The Bodies in the Library (First Edition Library Mystery #1) by Marty Wingate

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I will be heading to the Library later today as per usual to drop off a few books and most likely pick up more. I’m excited to see what may be displayed on the new shelves and whether any of my anticipated reads will be available.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!
