Kelcie Murphy and the Hunt for the Heart of Danu Review

Happy Tuesday,

Today I’m so excited to share my thoughts on a book that I recently read and was released today. I’ve been so excited to read this book and much as I wanted to read it as soon as it came in the mail.

So without further ado, I present to you my thoughts:

I received an ARC via the Publisher though all thoughts are my own.

Kelcie and her friends are back in another fascinating action-packed adventure.

I loved that Kelcie was able to be reunited with her Grandmother, learn more about being a Fomorian including her powers and her Clan in general.

Full of mystery, Celtic Mythology, humor, the power of family, the special bond of found family and several twists. This series has become one of my favorites and I love the Celtic themes as well as creatures sprinkled throughout the story.

I found myself caught up in this book from beginning to end and am so excited for the next book.

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am hoping to clear off my currently reading list before the end of the month so I can start fresh in August. Now I am off to get some more reading in as I need to finish the book for my Nonfiction Book Club that’s happening tomorrow.

I hope you have a great evening and I will return shortly with more bookish ramblings.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: Wrap Up

Happy Tuesday,

This month has flown by and it’s hard to believe this is the last Tuesday of the month. It’s so great to be sharing a blog post as I haven’t done my usual Tuesday posts for a couple of weeks due to being busy and really getting into my reading groove.

Speaking of books, I thought I would share my favorites of the month which was hard to narrow down because I read many enjoyable ones and I even managed to sneak in a reread of a book as I’m trying to make more of an effort to do rereads whether because I want to visit that particular world again or am trying to be caught up on series and the details of books I’ve read in those series have been rather fuzzy.

So enough of my ramblings, let’s get to the really fun part which is my favorites though I may find myself adding more before the end of the month:

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am hoping to clear off my currently reading list before the end of the month so I can start fresh in August. Now I am off to get some reading in, grab some lunch and then to the Library to browse books. I may very well find myself at Barnes and Noble too because there’s some exciting releases today.

I hope you have a great day and I will return shortly with more bookish ramblings.

Happy Reading!

Immortal Longings Review

Happy Tuesday,

Today is an exciting day as I have been excited to talk about my thoughts on Chole Gong’s adult debut whose release is today and it was well worth the wait.

So without further ado, I present to you my thoughts:

I was kindly approved for a digital ARC via Netgalley and was also sent a finished copy though all thoughts are my own.

I found myself drawn into this world with the different view points of August, Calla and Anton who are all connected mostly by chance and somewhat by choice but are also complicated.

When Calla is convinced to join a dangerous game held by August every year after he learns that she has been in hiding for the last several years and gives her an offer she can’t refuse, both of their lives are about to change in ways they didn’t see coming especially when Anton also shows up as a player of the games.

Anton has his own reasons for joining this dangerous game in which there can only be one victor and when his main reason is revealed, it broke my heart a bit and also endeared him to me.

When Anton and Calla meet, the tension is high to say the least and it takes quite a bit of convincing from Anton for Calla to team up with him. Then things really start to get interesting and soon the stakes will be even higher with the potential of one or both of them dying in this dangerous game.

Soon both Anton and Calla will have to make a decision on how to move forward, what to do about their growing attractions to each other and that sometimes the most difficult thing you can do is to trust another person.

Full of danger, twists, a liberal dose of tyranny, and complicated love, it kept me on the edge of my seat especially the last one hundred pages of the book. I did not see that ending coming and I can’t wait to read the sequel!

Trigger warnings: death, violence, murder, poverty, corrupt ruler

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am so excited that I was able to post my thoughts about this book and now the wait begins for the next book to be released.

I will return shortly with more bookish ramblings and eventually on update on how my reading is going so far this year.

Happy Reading!

Top 10 Tuesday: July Anticipated Releases

Happy Tuesday,

It’s the beginning of July and the year is already halfway over. I’m excited to have today off as I am usually working July 4th.

Speaking of excited, there are quite a few books being released this month that I am excited to get to or just to have a finished copy of. Most of the books on my list are towards the end of the month so I most likely won’t get to in the month but wanted to include those books because they are on my list to read eventually.

So without further ado, I present to you my list:

July 1st

July 10th

July 11th

July 25th

July 31st

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am hoping to get to all of these soon. I have digital ARCs for at least four of them one of which I have already read. I hope you all have a great 4th if you celebrate and if not, may you have a wonderful Tuesday.

I will return shortly with more bookish ramblings and eventually on update on how my reading is going so far this year.

Happy Reading!
