Top 10 Tuesday: January Wrap Up

Happy Tuesday,

This month seems to have flown by. It has been a very busy month with work and squeezing in as much reading as possible. I’ve finished twenty one so far which is amazing for me and even more amazing that I haven’t veered of my pile of possibilities too much. It also helps that I have been really excited for the books I added to the list, that I’m determined to get the amount of unread owned books down and also audiobooks have been great too.

Speaking of books read, I thought I would talk about the top ten. Narrowing down the list is always a struggle especially when so many of them were wonderful but it’s also fun to see what makes it to the list. So without further ado, I present to you my list:

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I am in the middle of a couple of books at the moment even with that amount having been read but I am hopeful that I’ll be able to get close to finishing at least one more book before the end of the day. I visited the Library yesterday to pick up a stack of books, some of which I’m very excited about and had a conversation with one of the Librarians about Mercedes Lackey who recently came out with more books in her Valdemar series. It was a lot of fun to talk about one of my favorite authors and reminisce with someone who is also a fan and I turned her on to her new series that she started a couple of years ago.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!

2023 Bookish Goals and January TBR Possibilities

Good evening,

I hope you all had a wonderful end to 2022 and that 2023 is starting out great for you. I had a quiet evening with my boyfriend bringing in 2023 and I spent the majority of January 1st wrapping up a couple of books I wasn’t able to finish before the end of 2022 and making some tentative bookish plans for the new year.

I know that I took an unexpected hiatus from blogging which started when I had Covid in August which thankfully cleared up by the end of August and I went into a bit of a book slump for a few months. I am happy to say that my reading mojo is starting to come back and I am hopeful that it will continue to grow.

I don’t have a lot of bookish goals for this year because I’ve realized that being a mood reader means my reading is all over the place and I am easily distracted by other books. So these are tentative plans and I will see how they go.

2023 Bookish Goals

  • Read more of my owned books (physical and digital)
  • Reread favorites
  • Get Netgalley percentage up to 50%
  • Post more reviews

Well that wraps up my bookish ramblings for the time being. I’m hopeful that I can reach most of my bookish goals and looking forward to bringing down my current count of owned books. When I am able to get more bookshelves, I plan to unbox my books and make count of just how many books I have and which ones I have unread though I am fairly certain that I own more unread than read.

Hope you have a wonderful week and I will return soon with more bookish content. Here’s to more bookish adventures to be had.

Happy Reading!
